WE HAVE FINALLY OPENED A STORE FOR EVERYONE TO COME SEE OUR MANY ITEMS!
Located in Bethalto, IL...... we are very excited!
We are from the midwest, Illinois, directly across the river from St. Louis, MO.
We currently have 3 seamstresses that work for Kiki's Doll House.
My mother, Carolyn, my sister, Kelly and I, Stacey.
We enjoy spending time together creating and sewing and sharing ideas.
My mother has had many years of sewing experience as well as designing and making 6-hoop prom gowns, otherwise known as hoop dresses, ball gowns, Gone With The Wind dresses, etc. She is currently retired after owning a Bridal Shop business for over 30 years. Needless to say, she taught my sister and I everthing she knows.
My sister is a full time employee in the elecrtical engineer industry, but loves to spend her time doing more artisitc things. And she can pretty much do anything artistic such as oil paintings, regular paintings, drawings, huge murals on walls, stencils, crafts, interior decorating, scrap booking, and sewing. She also has a beautiful daughter in college, Ashlynne, that hasn't quite picked up the sewing legacy.
Myself, I am a stay at home mom right now that does work part-time at a bridal shop with my mother a couple days a week (a shop that a friend owns). I have 3 beautiful girls... my cheerleader Kylee, my softball player Kierra and my singer Kasia. I worked with my mother for over 20 years, learned many valuable things and wouldn't trade it for anything in the world.
So, this is us at Kiki's Doll House, just to give you a better feel of who we are and why we like to make doll clothes. Family is important to us and anything we can do together is a blessing.
The name Kiki's Doll House came from my sister Kelly and my middle daughter Kierra. My daughter is named after my sister by her middle name, Dawn. My sister as a child was always called "Kiki Dawn" and we have called my daughter that ever since she was born. The home page picture is of my "Kiki Dawn" , who infact loves to sew and will probably follow in all of our footsteps.
